Did you know by raising core body temperature above ambient air temperature, chai tea actually cools the body? With the exotic tapestry of spices that weave through each flavorful sip, it’s no wonder why it is a favorite.

DRINK CHAI TEA FOR THE HEALTH OF IT

  • HELPS REDUCE BLOOD SUGAR

Chai tea contains ginger and cinnamon, both of which may have beneficial effects on blood sugar levels. Studies show that cinnamon may reduce insulin resistance and fasting blood sugar levels by 10–29%. Lower insulin resistance makes it easier for your body to use insulin to escort sugar out of your blood and into your cells.

  • MAY REDUCE NAUSEA

Chai tea contains ginger, which is well-known for its anti-nausea effects. Ginger seems especially effective at reducing nausea during pregnancy. Chai tea also contains cinnamon, cloves and cardamom, all of which have antibacterial properties that appear to help prevent digestive issues caused by bacterial infections.

TEA TIPS

  • BANANA BREAD

The delicious spices of Chai tea make a melt-in-your-mouth loaf of Chai Banana Bread! These spices work really well together and are a good contrast with the sweetness of the banana.

  • STEEPING

If you prefer your tea strong, don't brew it for extra time. This will make it bitter. Instead, add more tea leaves to your brew.

  • DELICIOUS

Try this! Warm some milk in a pan, then whisk with a frother. Combine the milk and chai tea and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg for a delicious chai latte.
