GINGER TEA BLENDS
Originating in Southeast Asia, ginger is a plant that is known for its uses as a spice. The rhizome (or root) of the plant is commonly used for this purpose. The oil in the root, or gingerol, has been used for thousands of years for medicinal purposes such as aiding digestion, reducing nausea, as well as helping the body's resistance to the flu and common cold.
Blending ginger with tea adds a sweet but pepper-like taste. Ginger blends well with green tea, black tea as well as teas with a more earthy flavor profile.
