Peach Barbecue Sauce

Recipe for Peach Barbecue Sauce served over chicken and pineapple

Whether you call it barbecue or barbeque, this delicious peach barbecue sauce will take your outdoor cooking to the next level! Starting with our Peach Bellini tea it is the perfect addition for summer grilling with friends.

With the addition of the apple, peach, pineapple and mango fruit pieces in the Peachy Bellini, this sauce will be a bit sweeter than our Peach Oolong barbecue sauce.


INGREDIENTS

  • 1-1/2 c of water
  • 1/2 c Peach Bellini tea
  • 1/2 c brown sugar
  • 1 c ketchup
  • 1 T white vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper
    INSTRUCTIONS
    1. To create the tea concentrate, steep 1/2c Peachy Bellini tea in 1-1/2 cups of water heated to 212°. 
    2. Allow to steep for 5-10 minutes until you have an aromatic concentrate.
    3. Pour tea concentrate into a medium saucepan and stir in brown sugar until dissolved.
    4. Add remaining ingredients to saucepan and continue to stir until combined.
    5. Heat mixture on low-medium, stirring frequently until sauce has reach desired thickness.
    6. Remove from heat brush or spoon over your desired protein. Delicious over chicken or ribs!
    7. Serve it over sliced pineapple pieces! Enjoy!
    Allow sauce to cool and store in refrigerator for up to a week.
    Yields: A healthy 1 c of sauce
