Though coming from the same Camellia sinensis plant as green and black tea, loose leaf Oolong tea is not as well known. Oolong is made from partially oxidized leaves. This special tea has combined qualities of green and black teas with similar health benefits for heart, brain, bone, and dental health.

The strength of those qualities depends on how it was processed by the tea master. In general, Oolong tea has more caffeine than green tea but less caffeine than black tea. Full of antioxidants, oolong tea combines catechin and caffeine to help your body fight free radicals, boost metabolism, and reduce stress.

From savory almonds to dry tangy fruit, steep some oolong in your next cup.
