Peach Tea Barbeque Sauce

This peach barbeque sauce is a must try summer recipe! With theย concentrated peach tea flavor, you can spread this delicious sauce on anything from ribs to chickenย at yourย next summer cookout.

We recommend using 2 ounces of tea in 1.5 cups of water to create the intense peach flavor.ย 


INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cupsย water
  • 2 ounces of Peach Oolong Tea
  • 1/2 cupย brown sugar
  • 1 cupย ketchup
  • 1 tablespoonย white vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoonย onion powder
  • 1 teaspoonย salt

Oolong tea steeps best at 195ยฐ. Steep the tea inย 1 1/2 cups of waterย to create peach tea that is intense and concentrated.ย 

  1. Heatย water toย 195ยฐ in your kettle or a small saucepan.
  2. Pour over tea leaves in yourย infuserย and allow to steep for 10 minutes.ย 
  3. Drain water from tea into small saucepan.
  4. Add the brown sugar while the water is still hot so the sugar dissolves easily.
  5. Add remaining ingredients and stir until completely combined.
  6. Heat over low to medium heat, and stir frequently until sauce reaches desired consistency.
  7. Remove from heat and baste your meat - or allow to cool and store in refrigerator.
