Cooking and baking with tea brings out deliciously unique flavors, and this flourless Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Black Tea Cookie recipe is no different!

Ingredients

  • 1 c peanut butter (creamy is preferred)
  • 2/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 English Breakfast tea
  • 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips (sugar-free works well too if you are looking for a bit less sweetness)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Add peanut butter, coconut sugar, egg, baking powder, and English Breakfast tea into a medium bowl.
  • Mix by stirring until egg is completely blended. Fold in chocolate chips.
  • Spoon 12 mounds of dough onto baking sheet and freeze for 10 minutes until the dough is firm.
  • Bake 16-20 minutes, until edges are golden brown.
  • Cool on baking sheet 10 minutes.
  • Transfer cookies to wire cooling racks and cool 10 minutes longer.

TIP

If you don't want to make all the cookies at one time, you can keep the mounds of dough in the freezer (well sealed). They'll be ready to pop them into the oven the next time you are craving some fresh baked goodies!
