Your Journey to a Healthier Lifestyle

iced tea for healthy lifestyle

Are you one of those people who absolutely refuse to function without having a cup of delicious iced coffee? If you are, you might want to switch to something that is beneficial for you and leads you towards a healthier lifestyle – one that doesn’t mean you have to go without flavor. Try replacing your iced coffees with delicious Tealeavz iced teas.

Not a daily tea drinker? Don’t crinkle up your nose...hear us out. The amazing benefits of iced tea might leave you rethinking your choice. Along with being absolutely mouth-watering, here are a few benefits of consuming iced tea:

Tea provides your body with antioxidants

Iced teas are loaded with antioxidants that may help in the reduction of inflammation. Iced teas are available with or without caffeine, but that doesn’t mean giving up flavor as you do with decaf coffee. Try an iced herbal tea or rooibos tea that is naturally decaffeinated. If you do crave caffeine, opt for a chai or black tea.

Coffee contains almost double the amount of caffeine compared with tea. The caffeine content in coffee immediately stimulates the central nervous system, accelerating our heart rate and raising blood pressure. This is known as a ‘coffee high’ followed by a low, and arouses a feeling of anxiety, popularly known as “coffee jitters”...or the dreaded “crash”.

Theine, the caffeine present in tea, usually takes longer to enter the bloodstream than coffee, slowly releasing theine in the blood over a 6 to 8 hour period. The effects of theine in tea on the central nervous system and cardiovascular system are mellower on the system as a whole.

Tea is available in many flavors

Are you worried that if you switch to iced tea you won’t get to enjoy a wide range of variety of flavors that you’re used to? Stop your worry. Iced teas come in refreshing bursts of flavors and spices. Here are some of our favorite flavors of iced tea that come in easy-to-prepare Cold Brew Bags.

You can also add ginger, lemon, fresh mint, or cinnamon to enhance the taste of already amazing flavors.

Our Cold Brew Pouches make it easy to enjoy a cold glass of iced tea this summer. But don’t stop there! Most flavors of loose leaf tea are delicious iced as well. My two faves iced are Samurai Spirit Mate, and Cinnamon Tea. So delicious you don’t need to add any sugar! Your waistline will thank you too!

When choosing your iced tea, remember for enhanced flavors and extraordinary benefits, do not opt for the ones sold locally in grocery store tea bags. They often contain tea scraps or powders mixed with fannings, dust, and added sugar. Go for the tea that is made with fresh leaves! Get ready to make your summer healthier, delicious, and frosty with iced teas!
