How to Use a Chashaku

Use 1-2 scoops of matcha powder. A single chashaku scoope of matcha equates to one-third of a teaspoon. The standard quantity is two scoops of matcha powder, which is about half a teaspoon of matcha. 

Using the curved side of the chashaku, gently sift the matcha powder through the sifter into your tea bowl. This process ensures a smooth and clump-free consistency.

Once the matcha powder is in the bowl, add hot water (not boiling) and whisk vigorously with your Chasen until frothy.
