TYPES OF CHAI TEA

Chai tea is a sweet and spicy tea recognized by its fragrant aroma made from a combination of black tea, ginger blended with a variety of spices such as cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, peppercorns, cloves, or coriander seeds.

Chai tea is a popular base tea to be blended creating many variations and taking on many different flavors depending on the ingredients used. If you like a bit of a kick, choose one heavy on ginger and peppercorns. For more of a sweet tooth, try a blend of vanilla, cinnamon, or nutmeg. Looking for a cup with savory notes? Try a blend using fennel or cumin.

It is also often enjoyed as a Chai tea latte by adding a shot of chai tea concentrate to steamed milk.

With this exotic tapestry of spices that weave through each flavorful sip, it’s no wonder why it is a favorite.
