Best Homemade Almond Granola Recipe with Chai Tea

Whether you love your granola with milk or yogurt to kickstart your day, or like to have it as an afternoon snack, you will love this simple homemade granola recipe thatย is made with almonds and chai tea.ย Thisย healthy granola recipe makes aย fragrant granola with just the right amount of chai spice, coconut, and almonds.

Ingredients

  • 2ย tsp of loose leafย Chai Tea
  • 1/4 c water heated to 212ยฐ
  • 3 c quick-cooking oats
  • 2 c almonds, coarsely chopped
  • 1 c shredded coconut, sweetened
  • 1/2 c honey
  • 1/4 c olive oil
  • 1/3 c sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4ย tsp salt
  • 3/4ย tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3/4ย tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4ย tsp ground cardamom


Instructions

Preheat your oven to 250ยฐ. Bring water to 212ยฐ and steep the chai teaย for 5 minutes.ย 

While tea steeps, combine oats, almonds and coconut.ย 

Extract the tea from your steeper. Stir the remaining ingredients into the tea and pour over the oat blend. Mix well to coat.

Spread mixture on a greased 15x10" baking pan. Bake about 1.25 hours until golden brown. Give mixture a stir every 20 minutes. Allow to cool and store in airtight container.

1/2 cup: 272 calories, 16g fat (3g saturated fat), 0 cholesterol, 130mg sodium, 29g carbohydrate (16g sugars, 4g fiber), 6g protein.ย
